I started playing golf at the age of 10, my Dad got me started in golf when he asked me to join him and go to group lessons, so I did. The first time I ever held a golf club was in a lesson, the rest is history. After that I was totally inspired by Seve Ballesteros. I turned professional in 1991 at the age of 19 and also in this year started coaching. I have attended seminars hosted by some of the worlds leading coaches and psychologists and have also been trained in the biomechanics of golf.
My commitment to develop golf at grass roots level is very important to me, my excellent people skills and positive coaching style means my students are not just taught the technical aspects of the game but are instilled with the confidence and belief the game demands, recognised by my students and peers as a golf coach of the highest standard.
In 2006 I was awarded Advanced Professional status from the Professional Golfers Association, I’m also a former golf tips columnist for the Portsmouth Evening News paper.
I have coached former Ryder Cup player and multiple winner on the European tour Steven Richardson, along with other European tour players Philip Golding, Simon Hurd, Gareth Paddison and currently working with Andrew Marshall, From the football world England striker Peter Crouch and from TVĀ presenter Pollyanna Woodward.
“I can coach beginners who have never held a club before to Experienced golfers who want to tighten technique and lower their handicap, I am fully committed to helping you learn and improve your game of golf in a relaxed and effective way.”
